International Symposium of Academic Music Recording to be Held in Moscow with Andres Mayo

The Russian Music Union, with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, announces the III International Symposium of the Academic Music Recording Industry on November 19-21, 2025 in Moscow.

The key event of the symposium will be the online performance of Andres Mayo (Argentina), a recognized expert in immersive sound, certified Dolby Atmos sound engineer, head of AES Immersive Audio Academy and founder of his own company Andrés Mayo Mastering & Immersive Audio.

Andres Mayo will give a lecture “Immersive Sound for an Immersive World” (November 19) and a master class “Mixing in Dolby Atmos from 0 to 100” together with Martin Muscatello (November 20 at CineLab Studios). His goal is to inspire the creation of music with immersion in mind.

The symposium also includes performances by leading Russian sound engineers: Maria Soboleva, Gennady Papin, Yakov Zakhvatkin, Alexander Mikhlin, Ilya Dontsov, Nadezhda Nikolaeva, Evgeny Potsikailik, Valentin Smirnov, Alexey Bystrykh and many others. There will be lectures, master classes, public talks, round tables, a scientific and practical conference, technical tours to concert halls and studios in Moscow.
