Geese Returns: The Success of Getting Killed and The Influence of Nick Cave

Brooklyn band Geese, whose new record "Getting Killed" became one of the high-profile events of the musical year, performed as part of the From the Basement concert series created by Radiohead producer Nige Godrich. The recordings, produced at Maida Vale’s studio in London, were originally released on DVD, like Radiohead’s, and have already been adapted to the digital format. After a two-year hiatus, the series caught the eye again. In particular, the song "Trinidad" from the new album Geese attracted the attention of Nick Cave in one of the editions of his podcast Red Hand Files. Cave, discussing which song makes him "true joy," revealed how listening to Geese after a morning swim in a cold lake made him "unquestionably" happy.
