Producer of “Tender May” Razin announced in the interstate wanted in the case of fraud

Andrey Razin, producer of the cult group "Tender May", was declared wanted. The investigation, namely the General Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow, accuses him in absentia of fraud on an especially large scale committed against the poet Sergey Kuznetsov. According to the materials of the case, Razin is included in the interstate search. The lawyer of Yuri Shatunov’s family, Asel Mukhtarova-Kazarnovskaya, explained that the case was launched in 2021 because of the appropriation of license rewards Kuznetsov paid for the use of his songs. Razin faces up to 10 years in prison. The story of the conflict began in 1989, when Kuznetsov left the band, and in the early 90s they began litigation over the rights to songs. Sergey Kuznetsov died in 2019, and in 2021 a criminal case was opened, the poet’s widow was recognized in the injured party. The editors of "Sound" are wondering why such a case is being considered only now, given the rich history of the band and its producer.
