Soundmaking of the future: challenges and prospects

In the cultural and educational space "Nelektoriy" (Moscow), a scientific and practical conference "Soundmaking - the profession of the future" was held, timed to the III International Symposium of the Academic Music Recording Industry. The event, organized by the Russian Music Union with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, brought together leading specialists, educators and researchers from Russia and the near abroad.

The conference focused on three key areas – technology and technology, education and law – discussed the current challenges and opportunities for the development of sound engineering of academic music. Experts analyzed modern approaches to sound recording, problems of training specialists, copyright issues and, finally, the need to adapt educational programs to the needs of a rapidly changing industry.

Particular attention was paid to the problem of the gap between the theoretical base laid in universities and the practical skills necessary for successful work in the recording field. The participants of the conference expressed the opinion on the need to create a continuous educational trajectory that combines the strengths of colleges and universities.

Solutions were proposed, including the development of unified educational standards, joint projects, modular programs and maintaining the relevance of the material and technical base. The discussion also touched upon the problem of high load on teachers who combine professional activities with training.

The result of the conference was the formation of a new understanding of the prospects of sound engineering as a popular and prestigious profession of the future, as well as the development of recommendations for the further development of this direction. The conference materials will be published in an electronic collection available to the professional community.
