Non Blondes Returns: Lindy Perry's New Album and Solo Project

California band Non Blondes, whose iconic song "What's Up?" became a gay anthem and a karaoke bar hit, has begun recording their second studio album. The band has signed with renowned indie label Kill Rock Stars (which previously supported Elliott Smith and the riot grrrl movement), and plans to release a new work by the end of 2026.

Kill Rock Stars have created a sublabel called 670 Records, which will release both Non Blondes and Lindy Perry's solo album, Let It Die Here, which is also scheduled for release next year. Lindy Perry, who worked as a producer for stars such as Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys and Celine Dion in the 1990s, has not released solo music since the 1990s. Non Blondes, after disbanding in 1994, reunited, for example, for a charity concert in support of the Los Angeles LGBT Center and for performances at festivals in the US and Mexico in recent years.
