“Bremen Musicians”: Musical exhibition at the Russian National Museum of Music

The Russian National Museum of Music invites you to a unique exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the composer Gennady Gladkov and the legendary cartoon “Bremen Musicians” (1969) and “Following the Bremen Musicians” (1973). The exhibition will open on December 16, 2025 and will last until March 15, 2026.

In the exposition, the audience will be immersed in the world of a bright plot, sincere characters and unforgettable songs that have become classics of domestic animation. Visitors will be able to learn the secrets of creating famous melodies, communicate with their favorite characters, visit the royal ball and even write a letter to the creators of the cartoon.

The exhibition will provide an opportunity to see unique materials: musical instruments, costumes from a feature film, working materials from the State Central Film Museum, personal belongings of the composer and director. Particular attention will be paid to the history of the film and Gladkov’s innovative approach, which combined elements of pop music of the 60s, baroque themes, gypsy motifs and lyrical songs of the Soviet period. Immersion in the atmosphere of the cartoon will provide interactive elements and the opportunity to feel part of the beloved world of the Bremen Musicians.
