Cameron Winter: A Unique Collaboration with Paul Thomas Anderson and Benny Safdie

Geese frontman Cameron Winter has released two very successful albums over the past year, and this seems to be just the beginning of his career. He is currently touring with a chamber tour, during which he performs songs from his solo album Heavy Metal. His performances were noticed by well-known filmmakers – without having to have an idea about them, Oscar-winning director Paul Thomas Anderson (Oil, Battle After Battle) and Benny Safdie (Uncut Diamonds, Crusher). The indiehourzz journalist said he attended his Carnegie Hall screening, calling Winter's voice "one of the best of our generation." Video footage of the show confirms that PTA used a Panavision camera for filming, and Safdie helped him. As reported, the joint plans of Anderson and Winter have not yet been disclosed, but the director is not alien to musical collaborations: Johnny Greenwood has been writing music for PTA films for almost 20 years, collaborating with Thom York, Joanna News and Haim. In Liquor Pizza, Alana Haim plays one of the key roles, and in Battle for Battle, her company is made up of Junglepussy and Dijon.
