Levon Oganezov: An outstanding artist has passed away

On December 14, 2025, Levon Oganezov, a multifaceted Soviet and Russian artist – pianist, composer, actor and TV presenter, died in the United States. He was 84 years old. His death was reported by his inner circle. In recent years, Oganezov has struggled with cancer.

Levon Oganezov, who was born on December 25, 1940 in Moscow, passed the way from a student of the Central Music School and the Music School. Ippolitova-Ivanov, up to a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory in piano class (1967), who repeatedly won competitions.

He worked in the Moscow Concert since 1959, being an accompanist of such stars as Klavdia Shulzhenko, Oleg Anofriev and others. Oganezov was a key figure in such famous projects as Vladimir Vinokur’s play “I Come Out Alone...” and in the Theater of Satire “Goodbye, entertainer!”. He also hosted popular television shows: "White Parrot Club", "Hustle around the piano", "Good Evening with Igor Ugolnikov" and "Life is beautiful").

Oganezov’s acting career included participation in the films “Rain Trail”, “The Bedroom Key”, “The Attic Story”, “The Dacha for Sale”, “Big Girls” and others. For his contribution to humorous music, Oganezov received the Golden Ostap award, and in 2010 he was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia. For his family, he will forever remain a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in-law and best friend.
