“Kurara” released a dark dance album “Aesthetes”

The group “Kurara” presented their new album “Aesthetes” on December 11, 2025. The disc consists of 11 tracks, including the famous hits “Boredom” (in collaboration with Ula) and “Buddha”, and combines the band’s signature gloom with dance energy, similar to the fusion of “Bullets” and “Archimedes”. The album is an attempt to maintain resilience in today’s disturbing reality.

The musicians emphasize the conciseness and focus of the album, believing that the order of the songs is key to perception. The key tracks are "Aesthetes", "Mnemozina" and "Dante", exploring the transformation of thoughts into actions and their fragility in the chaos of the world. Particular attention was drawn to the composition “Dante”, which was originally an instrumental theme from the album “Salo 3”.

In one of the songs, a fragment of a poem by Arseny Tarkovsky sounds, adding depth to the work. The voices of Boris Polyakov (record) and Boris Istomin (mastering) sounded. The visual style of the album is inspired by the photo of Oleg Yagodin: a dead pigeon at the entrance, seen as a metaphor for the “torn heart, killed dove of peace”.

To create a video for the song “Buddha” the group moved away from the usual format, using actors from “Koljada-Theater” and the Sverdlovsk Academic Drama Theater, as well as hundreds of toys sent from different countries. According to Yagodin, the female visual line will continue to develop in further clips.
