Megadeth returns with ‘Let There Be Shred!’ new single, tour and film

After a long wait, Megadeth unveiled their new single, "Let There Be Shred!" and a music video on December 19, 2025. The clip, directed by Keith Jay Lehman, takes place in the wrestling arena, where frontman Dave Mustaine, despite his age, shows speed and fury, defeating all opponents.

Mustaine, recalling the band's early years, commented: We were talking about being quick and furious. This song is the epitome of that, it has a memorable chorus that will make you sing along and play the guitar.

Let There Be Shred! will be part of Megadeth's new album, which will be released on January 23, 2026. In support of the album will be released the film "Megadeth: Behind the Mask", which premieres on January 22 in selected theaters. In February, the band will embark on a multi-year farewell tour.
