"Umaturman" and Ksenia Minaeva released a single on the anniversary of Vladimir Kristovsky

On December 19, 2025, the joint single of the group “Umaturman” and Ksenia Minaeva “I was so waiting for you, Vova” was released, timed to the 50th anniversary of Vladimir Kristovsky, the leader of “Umaturman”.

The meeting of the artists occurred unexpectedly – at the festival in Luzhniki, where “Umaturman” performed after Minayeva this summer. No one remembers who first offered a cover of the band's song for the second part of the tribute (released in February 2026), or the idea of creating a completely new track.

Vladimir Kristovsky recalls: It was the first time someone wrote a song, continuing my lines. The demo immediately captivated me and in an hour we recorded the track.

Ksenia Minaeva describes the process of creating the song as a fascinating experiment: We were sculpting from plasticine, with great excitement. After Wove liked the demo, we immediately started recording, and it was a very lively and fun sound. The song became one of Minaeva's favorites, which she often listens to. She shared with Kristovsky gratitude in a post on social networks, and also asked him to find a hidden gift, which she left during the filming of the video for the single.
