Yandex Afisha presents the innovation “View from the place” with AI

Yandex Afisha launches testing of the new feature “View from the Place” on December 24, 2025, using artificial intelligence technologies to improve the process of buying tickets for cultural events. This innovation is available in the mobile version of the site and the Afisha application for a limited number of users.

The feature allows users to see what the scene looks like from the selected place in the hall. When selecting a specific place, an individual image is generated, which makes it possible to assess the perspective by moving to a neighboring place on the diagram.

Initially, the testing will be carried out in the major halls Odeon, RAMT and MDM in Moscow. The head of Yandex Afishi, Danil Greben, emphasizes that the introduction of AI increases the transparency and manufacturability of the service, helping users to make an informed choice of places and improving the overall impression of events.

The View from the Place function is based on a hybrid approach that combines computer vision, animation and 3D graphics with modern generative models. The system, using images of the hall taken on a smartphone, creates a 3D reconstruction, displays a view from each place and compares it with the diagram of the hall, eliminating artifacts and increasing the realism of the image thanks to the fuzzy fitting algorithm. The technology scales to large venues, including stadiums, providing a realistic view from all venues.
