Bob Weir – Legend of the Grateful Dead

On January 10, Bob Weir, a key figure in the Grateful Dead and co-founder of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, passed away. He was 78 years old. Weir, known as a guitarist and songwriter, successfully battled cancer in the last months of his life. His death came from "comorbid lung problems" after defeating the disease. Weir was one of four members of the main jam band that had accompanied the Grateful Dead since 1965, and despite a long collaboration, only three musicians survived when the band disbanded following Garcia's death.
