Peter Gabriel Announces New Album Series ‘I/O’ and ‘O/I’

Towards the end of 2023, Peter Gabriel released his first studio release in two decades, i/o, a collection of twelve songs released one a month. At the end of 2026, "i/o" will complement the companion album "o/i", and the first track - "Been Undone" - has already been presented.

Gabriel plans to release new songs from "o/i" in alternative mixes ("Bright-Side" and "Dark-Side") with illustrations created by artists close to the musician. The new tracks will premiere for a new full moon, and the first new single will be released on February 1.

In the announcement of the project, the artist mysteriously stated: “Some of these songs will be part of my brainchild, over which I have been thinking for years, and some just make me happy.” Recently, Gabriel's song "I Have the Touch" from Josh Safdie's "Marty the Magnificent" got a lot of attention.
