Applications for the IV All-Russian contest “Participation” are being accepted

On February 2, 2026, TASS will host a press conference dedicated to the opening of applications for the IV All-Russian Competition of Young Composers “Participation”. The event will be attended by leading figures of the music industry: General Director of Orpheus Irina Gerasimova, Artistic Director of the Moscow Regional Philharmonic Maxim Dunaevsky, Director of the Moscow Academic Music Theater. Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Andrei Borisov, head of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives Roman Karmanov, head of the Union of Composers of Russia Karina Abrahamyan and director of the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra Irina Shigoreva. Experts will talk about the competition, its structure, nominations and significance for the development of composer’s art.

Within the framework of the competition, five best works will be selected in each of the eight nominations, which will be performed in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory.
