Taylor Swift moves closer to EGOT with new song for Toy Story 5

Taylor Swift has taken a significant step towards achieving EGOT, a status that includes Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Golden Globe. Winner of four Grammys and one Emmy, she released a new song "I Knew It, I Knew You" for the animated film Toy Story 5, which automatically gives her the chance to receive an Oscar nomination. The song, co-written with Jack Antonoff and inspired by the character Jesse from the franchise, is Swift's return to her "country roots." Poems dedicated to the cowboy, deliberately created in order to comply with the tradition of nominating films "Toy Story" for the prestigious award. Previously, this race for the nomination was led by Randy Newman, who lost several Oscars, but eventually won for the song “We Belong Together” from “Toy Story 3”. Swift believes that writing this song is both a new challenge and a natural continuation of her creative path.
