Shania Twain Returns to Her Roots: New Album Is the Music of Youth

Shania Twain, the legendary country pop star, takes a bold step back – she returns to the origins of her music. Her upcoming 12th album, Little Miss Twain, which comes out in a couple of weeks, is inspired by memories of her teenage years, when the singer was passionate about rock 'n' roll and R&B, and dreamed of a Western-style life. As Twain admits, “Where I grew up, I didn’t ride horses, I drove cars.” I lived in a very different world than the one I dreamed of and ended up in.” Despite this, the album retains a recognisable country western character, as seen from the single "Faded Blue Jeans", which featured Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Hommy. “Little Miss Twain” will be released on July 24.
