"Hands up!": A documentary about the legendary band

In July 2026, the premiere of the documentary film “Hello, it’s me!” will take place on the Ren-TV channel. The story of Hands Up. The film follows the band's amazing journey, from the scorn of critics in the 1990s to the assembling of stadiums three decades later.

“Hands up!” has become the iconic voice of a generation, sounding everywhere: from minibuses and commercial chambers to porches and hospitals. The film, produced by NMG DOC, explores the paradox of the popularity of the band's songs, which were initially rejected. This is a story not only about Sergei Zhukov – from a provincial DJ to a star – but also about the history of a country full of hope, love and dancing against the odds.

The film presents a candid interview with Sergei Zhukov himself, unique archival footage of the 90s, as well as stories of people whose lives would not be like this, without the songs “Hands up”. Famous artists participate: Igor Nikolaev, Vadim Samoilov and others. Aleksey Chadov speaks voice-over. The air is scheduled for 23:40.
