"Blue Velvet": 40 years of the legendary soundtrack and a new reissue

This September marks the anniversary of the cult detective thriller Blue Velvet (1986), which became the starting point for a long and fruitful collaboration between director David Lynch and composer Angelo Badalamenti. Varèse Sarabande is presenting a new vinyl reissue of the soundtrack in six different colors as well as digitally. Although the soundtrack for "Blue Velvet" has been re-released before, this edition features an unprecedented amount of additional material - more than 30 bonus tracks, many of which were recorded by Angelo Badalamenti untitled. Bonus tracks are available exclusively in the digital edition. The vinyl version will feature a classic version of the hit "Mysteries Of Love" soundtrack performed by Julie Cruise (who first appeared in the Lynch universe in the context of "Blue Velvet") and Roy Orbison's "In Dreams," whose ballad became one of the film's most iconic scenes.
