Kyon Music launches True Chart to counter AI dominance in music

Service "Kion Music" became the first in Russia, who presented a new chart - "True Chart". This section on the main streaming page offers the most popular singles that were not created by artificial intelligence. The initiative comes amid a growing share of music generated by neural networks, which already accounts for about 30% of the charts and is causing controversy in the music industry.

To avoid this, Kyon Music uses AI detectors, including the Slopless extension, to analyze tracks. The recognition of effectiveness reaches 83%. In case of doubt, the music editorial office of the service conducts additional examination. The company emphasizes that AI can only be used as an auxiliary tool, and respects the creativity of artists.

Director of “Kion Music” Danila Konstantinov explained that the launch of the “real chart” is a reaction to the trend of increasing popularity of music created by AI. The goal of the project is to provide listeners with a choice between different content formats and to support traditional musicians. Instead of a total boycott of neural network content, Kyon Music offers partial catalog transparency to simplify navigation.
