Stevie Wonder marks 50 years of Songs in the Key of Life with archive recordings

Stevie Wonder marked fifty years of Songs in the Key of Life with four archive recordings. Released on September 28, 2026, the EP presents previously unreleased material from the original album sessions.

Wonder selected the recordings himself. Original engineers John Fischbach and Gary O Adante worked on the sound. The release offers a reason to revisit the complete album before exploring material that remained outside it.

Songs in the Key of Life won Album of the Year at the 1977 Grammys. Wonder has 25 Grammy wins overall. The anniversary EP puts this particular record back in focus, with another part of its studio history now available alongside the familiar album.
