Shawn Mendes revisits Illuminate: how the anniversary editions differ

Shawn Mendes has returned to Illuminate ten years after its release. Three anniversary editions offer different demos, making the choice of edition important for anyone interested in the bonus material.

The digital edition includes Cold in California; the official store edition adds What If I Told You a Story. Blood Records offers She’ll Be the One. All three also include live recordings.

The anniversary revisits a period between Handwritten and his self-titled album. The Recording Academy identifies Stitches as Mendes’s breakthrough; later nominations recognised In My Blood, Shawn Mendes and Señorita with Camila Cabello. This reissue turns attention to an earlier chapter of that career.
