Bowie80 brings exhibitions and a symphonic premiere to David Bowie's anniversary year

David Bowie's estate announced Bowie80 on October 5, launching an international programme that continues throughout 2027. The musician would have turned 80 on January 8. Exhibitions, concert productions and fan events form part of the celebrations. Cleveland's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is preparing activities around his birthday weekend.
Morrison Hotel Gallery will open Strange Fascination in New York and West Hollywood in February 2027. The photography exhibition spans six periods of Bowie's career and includes previously unseen images. Copenhagen will host the world premiere of BOWIE (breaking) GLASS in spring: his original recordings will meet live singers, an orchestra and music by Philip Glass.
The immersive show David Bowie: You’re Not Alone will also reach Manchester, Brighton and Hamburg. Further announcements are planned during the anniversary year.
