Norah Jones and Chris Stapleton release Christmas duet April’s Gone

Norah Jones and Chris Stapleton have released April’s Gone, a Christmas duet about a couple trying to restore a fading relationship. The single is available on streaming services with an official visualizer. Jones wrote it with producer Leon Michels.
Jones says she imagined Stapleton’s voice on the song after writing it. Musician Mickey Raphael helped connect the singers. Michels previously worked with Jones on her holiday album I Dream Of Christmas and the studio record Visions.
Jones also announced Playing Along, Volume 2 for November 27. The red-vinyl Record Store Day Black Friday release collects performances from her podcast’s second season. Guests include Lucinda Williams, Jason Isbell, Joshua Homme, Meshell Ndegeocello and Josh Groban. The record will be sold through independent record stores.
