R.E.M. Returning: Radio Free Europe Anniversary Edition with Historical Overtones

The anniversary reissue of the single "Radio Free Europe" by R.E.M., first released in 1981 and later included in their cult debut album "Murmur", was the occasion to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Radio Free Europe, known in Russia. Since its inception, the station has been under scrutiny and not always buried with the U.S. administration. The new 5-track EP offers listeners three different arrangements of the original song, including producer Mitch Easter's version and a groundbreaking remix from Jacknife Lee that highlights Christopher Walken's bass and vocals.
