Bloc Party returns to Silent Alarm with grand anniversary edition

London-based band Bloc Party, once a key figure in the post-punk-rive of the Zeros, is gaining attention again with the release of the anniversary reissue of their debut album, Silent Alarm. The extensive deluxe version (available in 2CD or 4LP format) offers fans not only the main album, but also two dozen B-sides, rare demos and live versions, including recordings for BBC Peel Sessions. All this is accompanied by a dense booklet with new texts and archival photos and is available for pre-order on the official website of the group, the release will take place on September 26.

Bloc Party's latest album, "Alpha Games" (2022), didn't get much attention. To compensate for this, the band is betting on the anniversary of Silent Alarm, beginning an American tour on May 30, which involves the performance of the entire album. Initially, the tour was planned for the participation of the Canadian band Metric, but due to disagreements with management, they were replaced by Blonde Redhead.
