Galantis revisits six songs on The Devil’s Tax Return: Volume 1

Galantis released the six-track EP The Devil’s Tax Return: Volume 1 on October 16. Christian Karlsson’s project issued the collection through Counter Records, Ninja Tune’s imprint.
Karlsson considered almost a hundred songs before making this selection. For The Killers’ When You Were Young, he combined the familiar melody with garage-influenced bass and rhythm, seeking another perspective on the original.
Stay Alive opens the EP, followed by Do You Mind and Can’t Take My Eyes Off You. When You Were Young leads into 1234 and Red Eyes. The source repertoire includes José González, Feist and The War on Drugs; Do You Mind originates with Paleface featuring singer Kyla.
