Doves' Jez Williams announces Life Of Me And You and shares Hollow Man

Doves guitarist and vocalist Jez Williams has announced his first solo album, Life Of Me And You. Earth To Echo will release the ten-song collection on February 26, 2027. Its first single, Hollow Man, is already available through official digital services, accompanied by a visualiser.

Williams wrote, recorded and produced the material himself between Doves recording sessions and tours. He describes Hollow Man as a response to the pressures of modern life and information overload. His earlier projects also include Sub Sub and Black Rivers, the latter formed with his twin brother Andy.

His first full-band solo performances take place at Manchester's O2 Ritz on November 20, 21 and 22, 2026, supporting Elbow's Asleep In The Back twenty-fifth anniversary shows. All three nights are sold out. The sets will introduce the new album's songs; Williams told NME that he would not include Doves material in this solo programme.
