Fleetwood Mac: The Chain documentary sets January 29, 2027 Apple TV premiere

Apple Original Films has announced the title and premiere date of Fleetwood Mac: The Chain. Directed by Frank Marshall, the documentary will arrive globally on Apple TV on January 29, 2027. The October 22 announcement places its release alongside the fiftieth anniversary of Rumours, a defining chapter in the band’s history.

The fully authorised project follows Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Apple promises previously unseen material and exclusive new interviews. Christine McVie’s contribution comes through archival interviews, rather than a newly recorded conversation for the forthcoming release.

The Kennedy/Marshall Company and White Horse Pictures are producing the film. Marshall also serves as a producer, alongside Nigel Sinclair, Nicholas Ferrall, Jeanne Elfant Festa and Aly Parker. The announced date concerns the Apple TV documentary: the Rumours song The Chain supplies its title but is not being presented as a new recording.
