Tom Grennan shares Wrapped In Gold video and discusses returning to guitar
Tom Grennan premiered the official Wrapped In Gold video on his artist YouTube channel on October 23. The single is already available digitally: Apple Music dates the audio release October 22. The song's catalogue appearance and the video premiere therefore fall on neighbouring days.
The song was introduced on Jack Saunders' New Music Show on BBC Radio 1. Discussing its creation, Grennan described picking up his guitar again and gathering collaborators from his first album at a rented cottage in Hastings. He associated that approach with rediscovering the pleasure of playing and writing music.
Grennan also described a softer vocal delivery, saying the finished recording retains the delicate first take. In a separate Hits Radio interview, he connected the song with time passing and accepting change. The official video description links directly to Wrapped In Gold; the digital single is issued by Insanity Records under licence to RCA/Sony Music UK.
