U2 to headline NFL Thanksgiving Eve halftime show on Netflix

U2 will perform at halftime during the NFL’s first Thanksgiving Eve game, streaming on Netflix on November 25. The Green Bay Packers will face the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The band’s booking was announced on October 20.

Coverage begins at 6 p.m. Eastern, with kickoff scheduled for 8 p.m. These are broadcast and game times, rather than an exact start time for the music. Netflix says the game is included in all subscription plans and requires an active membership.

The appearance coincides with U2’s fiftieth anniversary, following their formation in Dublin in 1976. They previously played the Super Bowl XXXVI halftime show in February 2002. Jesse Collins Entertainment will produce the new performance. The announcement does not reveal a setlist or special guests.
