Tony Iommi and Jørn Lande release From the Dark

Tony Iommi and Jørn Lande released From the Dark through BMG on October 23. Its main programme has eight songs, opening with Over the Violent Sun and closing with Legacy. It is the Black Sabbath guitarist’s first full solo album since 2005’s Fused.

Lande sings throughout and shares writing credits on every song. Bassist Becky Baldwin and drummer Karl Brazil complete the recording lineup. Iommi co-produced the album with longtime collaborator Mike Exeter, while Queen guitarist Brian May contributes a guest solo to Death Wake.

Earlier singles, including World Alone and Stormwatcher, preceded this full release. The official announcement lists digital editions, double vinyl and several CD packages. The deluxe CD adds Scent of Dark and Deified (Extended), so its expanded programme should be distinguished from the eight-track main album.
