Samara Joy releases first live EP Live At The Blue Note L.A.

Samara Joy released Live At The Blue Note L.A. through Verve on October 23. It is the first live release from the six-time Grammy-winning singer. The five tracks were recorded during her April 2026 engagement at Blue Note Los Angeles, with the septet that accompanies her on tour.

The programme includes Round Midnight, Yesterdays and Lush Life, followed by No More Blues and a separate reprise of that piece. The complete digital edition runs approximately 32 minutes. This is a document of a particular club engagement, rather than a new studio successor to Portrait.

CD and standard vinyl editions accompany the streaming release, while the label also announced a US-exclusive sunburst-coloured pressing. Portrait, her previous studio album, earned the award for Best Jazz Vocal Album. The new EP instead focuses on her interaction with her regular musicians in the smaller setting of a jazz club.
