Enter Shikari release Lightyears and confirm four US headline shows

Enter Shikari surprise-released Lightyears on October 28, 2026, following Higher Ground earlier this month. The new single draws on singer Rou Reynolds's experience of digitising family camcorder recordings last year. Revisiting childhood holidays, birthdays and school concerts brought him into contact with earlier versions of his own life.
Reynolds explains that the song addresses both loved ones who have died and his childhood self. Reviewing the footage also meant confronting people and places that no longer exist. Those reflections describe the recording's personal background; the release does not itself announce another album or a revision to the band's previously stated plans.
Four US headline appearances have also been confirmed for January 2027: Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale on January 27, The Beacham in Orlando on January 28, The Masquerade's Heaven room in Atlanta on January 29 and The Basement East in Nashville on January 30. General sales begin October 30 at 10 a.m. local time. These shows precede the group's announced pause after the end of 2027.
