Squeeze released the official video for The Place We Call Mars on October 28, 2026. The song is already part of Trixies, released on March 6: the new event is the video, rather than another album launch. It follows a 27-date North American run that included New York's Radio City Music Hall and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

Trixies began in 1974, when Chris Difford was nineteen and Glenn Tilbrook sixteen. They devised connected stories around an imaginary nightclub before Squeeze made their first record. At that stage, the writers lacked the musical experience to record the material as they imagined it.

More than half a century later, the band returned to those songs with bassist Owen Biddle producing. The Place We Call Mars explores a darker part of that shared fictional setting. The official discography dates Trixies to March 2026, making this October video a continuation of an existing record rather than the announcement of an entirely new studio project.
