As I Lay Dying have released The Cost To Stay with an official video directed by Tom Flynn. The November 3 single continues the lead-up to their self-titled studio album, scheduled by Napalm Records for February 5, 2027. The complete record has not yet been released, while this new song is available separately.

Singer Tim Lambesis connects its lyrics with leaving destructive patterns behind and accepting the need to start again. September previews Polarized and Retribution introduced contrasting sides of the material. The forthcoming ten-song tracklist also includes Satellites, Echoes, A Heart Meant To Break and After The Storm.

Chris Clancy and Lambesis handled the main production, with Dusten Boles credited for No Way Out. That track features CJ McCreery of Immortal Disfigurement. The band has North American performances planned in November and December, followed by another itinerary in February and March. The archival photograph depicts the 2022 lineup, not the current personnel.
