Pink Floyd will release Animals 50 through Sony Music on January 22, 2027. Announced on November 5, the anniversary project revisits the 1977 album across vinyl, CD, Blu-ray Audio and digital editions. Its first available preview is Sheep (Original Radio Edit), a shortened recording originally prepared for radio stations.

The deluxe box contains three LPs, five CDs and a Blu-ray. Alongside the original album and James Guthrie’s 2018 remix, a five-track rarities disc includes early versions of Dogs and Sheep, Studio Jam and Roger Waters’ previously unreleased Young Nicholas Jon. A separate section presents the Oakland concert recorded on May 9, 1977.

A 64-page book adds Jonathan Lethem’s notes, an interview with concert recordist Reinhard Hohlwein and material about the Battersea Power Station cover. The remix is offered in 5.1 and Dolby Atmos. The official Sheep visualizer appears below; the complete anniversary collection remains a forthcoming release.
