Elton John and CMAT release an Amazon-exclusive Step Into Christmas duet

Elton John and CMAT have released a new duet version of Step Into Christmas. Elton’s November 5, 2026 announcement identifies it as an Amazon Music Original available exclusively through Amazon Music. The song revisits the holiday single he wrote with Bernie Taupin in 1973; it is not a joint album.

The production combines stems from the original recording with CMAT’s vocals and a new string arrangement. Her part enters an existing performance rather than replacing the whole recording with a conventional cover. This distinguishes the collaboration from the familiar solo version.

Amazon lists one track lasting four minutes and twenty-one seconds. CMAT is an Ivor Novello-winning Irish artist whose albums include EURO-COUNTRY. The official Amazon link is provided below; a matching YouTube or Spotify embed has not been confirmed.
