Young Fathers announce new soundtrack for '28 Years Later' sequel

The musicians of the Scottish hip-hop trio Young Fathers wrote the original soundtrack to the new post-apocalyptic horror Danny Boyle – a sequel to the famous franchise “28 days later”. This is a reunion for Boyle and the Mercury Prize winners, where Young Fathers contributed several songs for the sequel, titled "On the Needle 2", including the song "Only God Knows", which the director called "pulse". 28 Years Later, released 28 years after the first film, featuring Killian Murphy as a producer, is set with stars such as Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O'Connell and Rafe Fiennes. The world premiere of the film is scheduled for June 20, and six months later, on January 16, 2026, its sequel will be released, the music to which Hildur Gudnadottir writes.
