Eurovision 2025: Austria triumphantly wins

The final of the 69th Eurovision Song Contest took place in Basel, Switzerland, on May 18, 2025. The winner was Austrian JJ with the song "Wasted Love". The concert was attended by performers from 26 countries. Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy and the Netherlands took the first places in the national jury voting, but the audience voting significantly changed the balance, where Israel, Estonia, Sweden and Italy entered the top five. Austria has won the contest for the third time in the history of Eurovision. As the leading two semi-finals Hazel Brugger and Sandra Studer joined the model and singer Michelle Huntziker. Last year's winner Nemo opened the evening with his song "The Code", and during the voting he performed his new song "Unexplainable". Some former Swiss Eurosong participants also took to the stage: Paola, Peter, Sue and Mark, Luca Hanni and Gjon’s Tears, in a performance dedicated to the heritage of Switzerland in the framework of the Eurovision Song Contest. Special guests included Baby Lasagna and Käärijä, who finished second in 2023 and performed a rap battle with the new track "#eurodab".
