The discovery of Bust Morrison: 12 years after the death of Manzarek

Today marks the 12th anniversary of the death of The Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek. However, as always, the focus remains on his late predecessor, Jim Morrison, whose life, according to various sources, ended in Syracuse or, according to some sources, continues to this day. Paris police recently discovered a Morrison marble bust stolen in 1981 and found seven years later in the Père Lachaise cemetery, as part of an investigation that had no direct connection to the original incident. The Pear Lachaise administration has not yet reported contact with police, but Morrison family officials expressed "joy" at the unexpected find, "part of history." The Père Lachaise Cemetery continues to be the site of visits by fans of The Doors, where a bust of Morrison was tried earlier in 1994, leading to the arrest of participants.
