The mystery behind 'Bohemian Rhapsody': Freddie Mercury's daughter reveals her story

A new biography of Freddie Mercury, written by rock journalist Leslie-Anne Jones ("Love, Freddie"), puts forward a sensational claim: the legendary musician had a secret daughter, born in 1976. The book describes the Queen frontman’s occasional affair with the wife of one of his close friends, with the hit “Bohemian Rhapsody” gaining popularity around the world.

The author claims that Mercury’s homosexuality was not unambiguous – he also had connections with women. In support of this, the book presents an excerpt from a letter to her daughter, who wished to remain anonymous, in which she admits that Freddie was her father, and their relationship was close and loving for many years.

The 48-year-old woman, designated B in the book, lives in Europe and works in the medical field. She received 17 personal diaries from Mercury containing memories of his childhood in Zanzibar and his studies in India, the last letter dated July 31, 1991.

At first, three years ago, she approached Jones to tell her story. The journalist initially doubted, but now she is confident in the truthfulness of her confidant’s words.

Recently, “Mercury’s daughter” made a DNA test, which was reported by the author of the book in the social network X, noting that the test is carried out with the involvement of legal groups, but the results are confidential.
