Concert in memory of Valentine of Berlin: "CELLOVEK" will celebrate the centenary

On June 1, 2025, in the Small Hall of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, a grand concert will be held dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the cello virtuoso, teacher and founder of the Borodin Quartet - Valentin of Berlin. This is the central event within the framework of the large-scale project “CELLOVEK”, which includes a series of musical, educational and memorable events dedicated to the life and work of the maestro.

The program of the concert, the artistic inspiration of which is his daughter, Honored Artist of Russia pianist Lyudmila Berlinskaya, consists of works beloved by Valentin Alexandrovich. The concert will be attended by outstanding musicians, including People's Artist of Russia Alexander Rudin and the Borodin Quartet, as well as the Arielle ensemble led by Elmira Dadasheva.

The repertoire of the concert includes works by Myaskovsky, Arensky, Borodin (Second String Quartet with Nocturne), as well as chamber works for voice, reflecting the influence of musical education of Berlinsky. The CELLOVEK project is not just a tribute to the great musician, but also a lively dialogue with his legacy, which continues to inspire new generations of performers. Concerts of the project in 2025 will be held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Irkutsk, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Klin, Perm, Sochi, as well as in France and Kazakhstan.
