Thom Yorke and Smoke: New Single and Premiere Series

For the upcoming premiere of the series “Smoke” (Smoke) on Apple TV+ timed the new single “Dialing In” from Tom York, which will be the main musical theme. The single, originally titled "Gawpers", was reworked and expanded by York to reflect the themes of the crime drama based on the podcast Firebug.

In the center of the plot is Detective Michelle Calderon (Jernie Smollett), investigating a series of arson attacks and joining forces with investigator Dev Goodsen (Taron Edgerton). The series also follows two serial arsonists whose target turns out to be closer than it seems. Starring: John Leguizamo, Hannah Emily Anderson, Luke Rossler, Ntare Mwine, Adina Porter and others. Written and produced by Dennis Lihane (“Black Bird”).

Lihane said working with York was a huge honor, comparing it to collaborating with such legends as Clint Eastwood, Martin Scorsese and Richard Price. "Dialing In" is a mesmerizing vocal melody with an arrangement that includes bell textures and tension-inducing subtext. The series is scheduled to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 12, and the first two episodes will be released on Apple TV+ on June 27.
