Posthumous release and extended legacy of Marianne Faithfull

On June 6, 2025, Marianne Faithfull's posthumous album, Burning Moonlight, was released, featuring four new compositions inspired by the music of the mid-1960s. Initially, the release date was set for February, but after the death of the singer on January 30 at the age of 78, there was a postponement.

In addition to the album, other events related to the legacy of Faithful are planned. On June 17, Passion for Fashion auction will feature her iconic wardrobe, including John Galliano's famous black satin suit, which she wore during the recording of "Live In Hollywood." On August 1, Decca will release a reissued catalogue of original albums ("Marianne Faithfull", "Come My Way", "North Country Maid" and "Loveinamist"), a new double LP featuring collected singles, B-sides and rarities. This is accompanied by a 6-CD box set called "Cast Your Fate To The Wind: The Complete UK Decca Recordings," featuring all the albums played on miniature facsimile LPs, a new collection of singles, B-sides, five art cards and a 76-page book featuring rare photos and comments by Marianne herself recorded months before her passing.
