Cave Answers Questions and Talks About Morrissey

In the next issue of "Red Hand Files" Nick Cave, as always, gave a portion of entertaining news. Asked by readers about his relationship with Morrissey and how to say no, he said, “I’ve never met Morrissey, and that’s probably why I like him.” Cave praised Maurice as "probably the best songwriter of his generation," describing the unsuccessful collaboration. Morrissey suggested he sing in one of his new songs, which Cave says began with a long and misplaced solo on the bouzooki. In the course of the correspondence, it turned out that Morrissey wanted Cave not to sing, but to give a provocative speech against the “culture of cancellation”. Cave, disagreeing, refused.
