Bryan Wilson is the genius of the Beach Boys.

On June 11, Brian Wilson, a cult vocalist, songwriter and producer, who had a huge impact on the history of popular music, died. As a key member of The Beach Boys, he has inspired generations of musicians, including The Beatles, through his pioneering ideas and influence. His album Pet Sounds (1966) is still recognized as the best record of all time, and Brian Wilson Presents Smile (2005) is one of the most significant masterpieces of the XXI century. In 1988, Wilson and The Beach Boys became the first musicians to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on their first try, with The Beatles and Bob Dylan. In the wake of his death, Wilson's children have asked for his peace to be respected, expressing deep sorrow and solidarity with the world. The cause of his death has not been officially announced, but he has been known to have suffered serious health problems, including dementia, over the years and was in the care of his publicist and manager.
