Foo Fighters Return with Cover and the New Drummer

After a long hiatus for reasons other than music, the Foo Fighters celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album and unexpectedly release their first single in two years. It is a cover version of Minor Threat's iconic hardcore punk track "I Don't Wanna Hear It", which Dave Grohl recorded in 1995 and the vocal part more recently. Grohl, who grew up in Virginia, was a big fan of Washington's hardcore scene as a child, and even wrote a fan letter to Minor Threat and Fugazi frontman Ian Mackay. Having participated in the Scream drum lineup (under Dischord Records), Grohl gained experience in the hardcore scene. Foo Fighters are currently planning to tour in Asia and Mexico, and most likely with a new drummer.
