King Crimson is back: New albums and plans after years of silence

After years of rumors and silence, King Crimson vocalist and guitarist Jakko Jakshik has announced that the band is actively working on a new studio album. Although no final decision has been made on the release of the album, the band is creating material that includes recordings from their recent concert tours. The project involves members of the last lineup of the group – Tony Levine, Mel Collins, Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison and Jeremy Stacey.

King Crimson, founded by Robert Fripp, has experienced a number of lineup changes, including the deaths of Ian McDonald, Peter Sinfield and Jamie Muir. The band is in the process of reorganizing and Jakshik, who joined Crimson in 2013, is working on new material after a two-year collaboration with Fripp on A Scarcity of Miracles. The band also plans to re-release the album with new, previously unreleased versions and possibly make a live film. It is worth paying attention to the fact that Robert Fripp, as before, is not in a hurry to announce the revival of the band, although he makes it clear that the project is still in the works.
