Suliko: The song has acquired the status of a cultural monument

The song "Suliko", which became the hallmark of Georgia, is officially recognized as a monument of intangible cultural heritage. This decision was made by the National Agency for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Georgia. The composition, written after a poem by Akaki Tsereteli, published in 1895, instantly gained popularity. The song “Suliko” has become an important part of Georgia’s cultural heritage and has been translated into many languages, including Russian.
